1. Won Bin
Won Bin is one of the biggest stars in
Korea Asia. He has only five films to his credit, but that doesn’t mean Won Bin is a lousy actor. He’s a brilliant actor — check out 2009’s Mother — who happens to be quite picky about his roles. I first saw this guy on Endless Love: Autumn in My Heart; been a fan ever since. He is currently starring in The Man from Nowhere.
2. Bruno Todeschini
Born: Bruno Todeschini in Neuchâtel, Switzerland
Birthdate: September 19, 1962
The guy who seduced Catherine Deneuve’s character in My Favorite Season. (Remember the bench scene?) He is also Daniel Auteuil’s tragic ally in Queen Margot. Bruno may have small screen time in those films, but he didn’t fail to steal the show from the lead actors even just for a while. Bruno may not be as big of a star as, let’s say, Vincent Cassel, but he is hardworking (a 100+ films in his resumé), ravishing, and definitely worth the screen time.
3. Barnabé Saïd-Albert
Born: Barnabé Nuytten
Birth year: 1979
Barnabé is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of Makali, a (now disbanded) French reggae/folk/rock band formed in 2003. Makali started out having gigs in bars and cafés before being signed by Mercury. Right now, I’m addicted to their song, “Mais Bon!” Barnabé is as charming as Makali’s music. He is the son of actress Isabelle Adjani and cinematographer-turned-director-turned-film-professor Bruno Nuytten. (Lots of turns there, Mr. Nuytten.) No wonder he’s beautiful.
4. Keanu Reeves
Born: Keanu Charles Reeves in Beirut, Lebanon
Birthdate: September 2, 1964
Whoaaa!!! Dude! When I saw Speed in 1995, I can’t help but become fascinated by its astounding action sequences and its gorgeous lead actor.
Keanu is also a bassist for bands like Dogstar and Becky.
5. Takuya Kimura
Born: Takuya Kimura in Tokyo, Japan
Birthdate: November 13, 1972
Like Won Bin, Kimutaku (Takuya’s nickname) is a big star in Asia. In 1999, he became a spokesperson for Levi’s. Kimutaku is one of those celebrities who made a pair of jeans look sexy.
He recently co-starred with Josh Hartnett in I Come with the Rain (one of 2008’s biggest flops).
6. Daniel Henney
Born: Daniel Phillip Henney in Carson City, Michigan, USA
Birthdate: November 28, 1979
Before he became Agent Zero in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Daniel started out as a model. As a model, he has worked in France, Italy, USA, Hong Kong, and the Philippines (he was a Bench model). And then he went to his mother’s home country, Korea, where starred in the TV drama My Name is Kim Sam-soon. After starring in the short-lived US drama Three Rivers, Daniel returned to Korea, where he is currently co-starring with Rain in The Fugitive: Plan B.
7. Andy Garcia
Born: Andrés Arturo García Menéndez in Havana, Cuba
Birthdate: April 12, 1956
Andy Garcia – tall, dark, and handsome. Before he became the Andy Garcia, Andy worked as a part-time waiter. (Is the waiter on the menu?) Then he got his big break when Brian De Palma hired him as one of The Untouchables. He’s especially lovely in When a Man Loves a Woman.
8. Fernando Carrillo
Born: Fernando Carrillo Roselli in Maracaibo, Zulia, Venezuela
Birthdate: January 6, 1966 or 1970
He is best known to telenovela enthusiasts as Thalia’s love interest, Fernando Jose, in Rosalinda. With his romantic good looks, perfectly sculpted body, and charismatic personality, Fernando can overthrow Rudolph Valentino or Marcello Mastroianni as the Latin lover. (Joke lang. Nobody can “overthrow” those guys. But, yes, Fernando is charming.) Fernando is currently in Hollywood, starring in not-so-major films.
9. Pierce Brosnan
Born: Pierce Brendan Brosnan in Navan, Co. Meath, Ireland
Birthdate: May 16, 1953
My favorite James Bond. Pierce is one of those men who look dashing in a suit. Before becoming 007, Pierce starred in the hit ’80s TV series Remington Steele. When he’s not making films, Pierce enjoys painting. The way this man carries himself is admirable.
10. Jason Behr
Born: Jason Nathaniel Behr in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
Birthdate: December 30, 1973
Jason is best known as that beautiful alien, Max, in the hit TV series Roswell. Before starring in Roswell, Jason guest starred on several TV shows, including Dawson’s Creek. His career never really took off though. But he’s still very attractive.
